DUNK

After leaving the floor it takes just 1.8 seconds for NBA star Vince Carter to fly through the air, force the basketball through the rim and then return to earth. In fact, nobody else, including the likes of Jordan, Webb, Howard, Kareem or Dr. J can hang in flight for much longer. They are all bound by the laws of physics – what goes up must immediately come down, but some players bring it all crashing down with style.

This brief and gravity defying feat known as the Dunk can be as graceful as the flight of a gymnast yet carry with it and deliver the force of a knock-out punch. DUNK is a feature length documentary whose goal is to treat the seemingly simple act of the Dunk as a nexus of discovery where important insights can be had into such diverse fields as Science, History, Business, Media, Politics, Psychology and Philosophy.

With Hollywood celebrity and basketball junkie Michael Rapaport as narrator, DUNK takes the viewer on an adrenaline fueled journey to investigate one of professional sport's most amazing moves.
